Canada Supports Quebec Forest Product Technology Company

The Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED) is providing financial support to Quebec businesses to help them build sustainable business practices and clean technologies as part of the government of Canada’s objective to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. Amqui-based SEREX will receive $400,000. SEREX is a non-profit organization that develops solutions and practices to support innovation and technology transfers in companies linked to the forest products processing sectors. The assistance will enable the organization to acquire and install specialized equipment in the fields of wood processing, sustainable chemistry, and green building that will be used to characterize and condition lignocellulosic by-products (shavings, sawdust and spirals, bark, flax, and hemp straw). The project will lead to the creation of two jobs.
