Sexton Launches Regular Virtual Events

After its successful first virtual event, the ‘2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM)’ in January, Sexton Group has launched a series of virtual events called the ‘Spark Series’ for members. “We received overwhelming feedback after our virtual AGM from members to host more virtual events to keep them connected,” says Eric Palmer, vice-president and general manager of Sexton. He says the events will spark new ideas to help members and their businesses succeed. “This is another way we offer exceptional value to our members by presenting timely topics that affect their business. It’s a great channel to reach members across Canada and provide updates on the market, product information, and much more.” To date, the group has hosted three Spark events. The kick-off was a day-long virtual event with key vendor partners sharing new products and market information to help continue to grow members’ market share. The second event featured critical information on cyber security awareness. The most recent event, which had record attendance, was on wood commodity and was hosted by Don Humphrey, national commodity wood manager at Sexton. The ‘Spark Series’ will pause during the summer months, but will return in the fall.
