AD and IMARK Electrical announce merger

AD and IMARK Electrical have announced their intent to merge in an effort to create a significant impact on the independent electrical distribution sector. The merger, which follows extensive due diligence, awaits IMARK Electrical shareholder approval and is set to close later this year.

The new entity, named The Independent Electrical Supply Division, US (IESD), will be part of AD’s community, which includes 1,410 independents across various sectors in North America. This merger excludes IMARK Canada, IMARK Plumbing, and IMARK Group.

Paul Kennedy, AD Board member, stated, “We believe this merger will significantly strengthen AD and IMARK’s electrical members and partners in the United States.” John Thompson, IMARK Electrical Board chairman, emphasized the benefits of reducing redundancies and creating growth opportunities.

AD and IMARK Electrical bring together 725 independent electrical distributors in the US, promising a robust future for the industry.
