Baie-Saint-Paul to build 43 affordable housing units

The governments of Canada and Quebec have announced the rapid construction of 43 affordable housing units in Baie-Saint-Paul under the Programme d’habitation abordable Québec (PHAQ). The project, named Habitations de la Lumière, will provide 38 one-to-three-bedroom units, with five reserved for individuals with intellectual or physical disabilities or autism, in partnership with the CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale.

The Canada–Quebec Agreement, funded by the Housing Accelerator Fund, will support this initiative, alongside significant contributions from both governments and the town.

Construction is required to begin within 12 months to remain eligible for the program.
