Beacon reports reduction in emissions, advances in community solar initiatives

Beacon has released its 2023 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report, showcasing its commitment to sustainability and transparency. The report reveals a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to its goal of halving emissions intensity by 2030. Beacon has upgraded 25% of its facilities to energy-efficient LED lighting and entered community solar contracts to power approximately 35 branches.

The report also highlights efforts in waste reduction, renewable energy investment, and maintaining a strong governance structure.

“The past year has been a time of growth for Beacon, not only in terms of our geographic footprint and service offerings, but also in our determination to build better for our stakeholders,” said Julian Francis, Beacon’s president and CEO.
