Beko opens first industrial park in Egypt, expanding global operations
Beko, a global home appliance manufacturer, has inaugurated its first industrial park in Egypt, marking a significant step in its international expansion. The facility spans 114,000 m², with 70,000 m² dedicated to production. Representing a $110 million investment, the park began test production following its December 2022 groundbreaking.
The factory will produce 550,000 ovens and 500,000 refrigerators annually, with 60% of output targeted for export to MENA, Europe, and Africa. It integrates cooling, cooking, and dishwashing production, with fast-tracked investment in its dishwashing segment.
Beko’s facility includes an R&D center, training academy, and a showroom. Designed for LEED Gold certification, the site emphasizes sustainability through rainwater recovery, waste management, and energy-efficient technology.
CEO Hakan Bulgurlu highlighted the company’s commitment to Egypt and the MENA region, emphasizing responsible production and zero waste.
