Canadian Solar’s e-STORAGE to enhance Nova Scotia’s energy grid
Canadian Solar Inc. announced that its subsidiary, e-STORAGE, has secured a contract from Nova Scotia Power to develop Nova Scotia’s first utility-scale battery energy storage facilities. The projects, totaling 150 MW / 705 MWh DC, will be located in Bridgewater, Waverley, and White Rock.
Expected to enhance grid reliability and support the province’s clean energy transition, the first site will be operational in 2025, with completion by 2026. e-STORAGE will provide comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction services, ensuring the projects meet safety and regulatory standards. This initiative aligns with provincial and federal renewable energy targets.
