Castle expands in Quebec with new partnership

Castle announced the addition of Outillage Rioux GDB, a Bedford-based independent retailer, to its network this week. Owned by husband-and-wife team Eric and Lisa Rioux, the business has served the local community for over 50 years, specializing in tool rental, safety equipment, and hardware.

Seeking to broaden their product offerings, the Rioux couple chose Castle for its competitive advantages and extensive vendor access. “The choice was clear. Only Castle offered us the level of support we need to maintain the success of our family brand,” Eric Rioux said.

Renovations are underway to enhance the store’s layout and increase square footage, with plans for a future warehouse to support the expansion of lumber and building materials. Castle president Ken Jenkins emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting independent retailers and fostering community connections.
