CCI Group event highlights industry challenges
Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre reaffirmed his support for Canada’s construction industry during a surprise appearance at the CCI Group’s annual Christmas party on November 16 in Surrey, B.C.
Joined by Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke, BC Conservative leader John Rustad, and deputy Conservative leader Tim Uppal, Poilievre praised the industry’s vital role in addressing Canada’s housing crisis. Attendees discussed challenges such as rising costs and regulatory delays, with many expressing hope for policy improvements.
The event also celebrated CCI Group milestones, including Allure Ventures’ nearing completion of The Grand on King George, Surrey’s tallest tower, and Skie Hospitality’s launch of Skye Avenue Kitchen and Lounge. CCI Group CEO Garry Sangha highlighted the company’s growth and philanthropic efforts, including donations to mental health organizations.
