CIF allocates $5.3 million to enhance Saskatchewan communities
The Community Initiatives Fund (CIF) has approved 416 grants, totaling $5.3 million through its latest grant application intake. These grants aim to support local initiatives, build vibrant communities, and enhance the quality of life in 151 communities.
"Since 1995, the CIF has supported a wide range of programs, organizations, people and communities across the province to enhance the quality of life for all Saskatchewan people," Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Laura Ross said.
The CIF approved 177 grants totaling almost $2.9 million through its Community Grant Program to support programs that promote the wellbeing of children, families, and communities.
Another 238 Summer Grant programs were approved, totaling $1.2 million to support camps and day programs for children during the summer months. Additionally, almost $1.2 million in two-year funding will support the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Gambling Awareness Program.
