Consumers Spend More On Windows And Doors
Consumers spent more on windows and doors in the quarter ending March 2022 than the same period last year, says Traqline’s quarterly ‘U.S. Windows & Doors Market Infographic.’ Projects handled by contractors and specialty stores accounted for even higher averages, likely due to project size, The largest cohort of window/door purchasers are, not surprisingly, homeowners, accounting for over 85 per cent of sales. Roughly two-thirds of these purchasers are married and have a female involved in the purchase decision and 42 per cent have a household income of $100,000 or more. Physical stores remain the most popular sales channel and competitive price remains the top reason for purchase.
