Contractors Feeling Optimistic
Construction contractors in the U.S. remain cautiously optimistic following the industry’s post-pandemic comeback, says the 2022 Marcum ‘National Construction Survey’. Close to 60 per cent of respondents say they expect more opportunity in the future, which is an increase from 54 per cent in 2021. Sixty-nine per cent expect the infrastructure investment and jobs act to have a positive financial impact for their business. On top of this, a significant increase in backlogs is also a positive outlook for the industry, with 48 per cent of respondents reporting higher backlogs than the previous year (29 per cent in 2021).
