Costco Sees Slight Income Rise

Costco Wholesale Corporation had net income of $1,364 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2023, up slightly from net income of $1,324 million in the first quarter of 2022. Net sales were $53.44 billion for the quarter, up 8.1 per cent over net sales of $49.42 billion last year. Comparable sales were up 6.6 per cent year over year and were up 2.4 per cent for the Canadian segment, but down 3.7 per cent for eCommerce. Total revenue was $54,437 million compared to $50,363 million.
