DEWALT to award millions in grants for vocational training

DEWALT® has opened applications for its 2024 Grow the Trades Grant, part of a $30 million commitment to enhance vocational skills training. This initiative, aimed at addressing the 500,000 unfilled construction jobs in North America, provides funding to nonprofits and public schools for training and reskilling programs.

Matt Markowiak, director of marketing for DEWALT Canada, highlighted the program’s focus on creating significant change in the skilled trades industries over five years. DEWALT plans to award up to $3 million annually in cash grants and $500,000 in tool donations. Grants will range from $10,000 to $200,000, with tool donations valued between $10,000 and $25,000.

Eligible applicants include Canadian registered charities, public schools, and nonprofits focused on vocational training.
