Fastenal Has Third Quarter Growth

Fastenal Company had net sales of $1,802 million for the third quarter of 2022, an increase of 16 per cent compared to net sales of $1,554 million in the third quarter of 2021. Higher unit sales contributed to the increase. Gross profit for the quarter was $826.5 million, up 14.8 per cent over $720.2 million in the prior-year period. Net earnings were $284.6 million, up 16.9 per cent compared to $243.5 million. Gross profit, as a percentage of net sales, declined to 45.9 per cent in third quarter from 46.3 per cent in the year-ago quarter.
