Federal funding breathes new life into Huron Country Playhouse
The Huron Country Playhouse will undergo significant upgrades following a federal investment of over $880,000 from the Green and Inclusive Community Buildings (GICB) program. Enhancements will include improved lighting, updated septic systems, and better washroom facilities. These upgrades aim to increase energy efficiency and ensure the theater's longevity.
Alex Mustakas, the director of Drayton Entertainment, emphasized the significance of The Playhouse’s decreased carbon emissions, stating that it will highlight the organization’s dedication to environmental sustainability within the cultural sector. This initiative represents a continued investment in supporting the arts and enhancing Canada’s cultural landscape.
