Eighty per cent of Canadian women see more opportunity than ever in starting their own business, says the ‘Unstoppable Women’ report from GoDaddy. The survey showed that most Canadian women started or intend to start their business in pursuit of financial opportunities and lifestyle flexibility. Seventy per cent of those polled expressed excitement for their growth in 2023. Thirty per cent cite growing their brand as a reason for optimism, 21 per cent say that growing their skills inspires them, and 19 per cent feel that expanding their business offerings pushes them forward. The study also uncovered perceived barriers such as household commitments. Thirty-three per cent of Canadian women say they are a primary caregiver with children under 18, while 81 per cent say they are responsible for household duties.
