Government partners invest over $33 million in Calgary housing repairs
The Government of Canada, the City of Calgary, and Calgary Housing announced today a joint investment of over $33 million to repair 1,052 homes across the city. This funding will address essential repairs, including building envelope improvements, roof replacements, and upgrades to windows and doors, enhancing accessibility and energy efficiency.
The funding sources include $10.04 million from the federal Affordable Housing Fund, $11.66 million from the City of Calgary, and $11.76 million from Calgary Housing.
“This will truly make a difference in our ongoing work to provide safe and affordable housing for all Canadians,” said George Chahal, Member of Parliament for Calgary Skyview.
