Guelph-based Danby owner acquires snowplow manufacturer

Jim Estill, owner of Guelph, ON-based Danby Appliances and land tactical communications equipment manufacturer Valcom Manufacturing Group, has acquired Arctic Snowplows. Arctic Snowplows is a 55-year-old Canadian manufacturer of plows, plow-related equipment, and spreaders and has facilities in London and Burlington, ON, and Pointe-Claire, QC. The acquisition creates efficiencies for Estill’s various operations that include manufacturing and labour efficiencies. Arctic Snowplows will continue to operate under its existing brand.
