HEIN secures contract to build 32 affordable townhomes

Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) has awarded HEIN, a prominent general contracting firm, the construction contract for 32 townhomes as part of the Mosaïq Ottawa project. Located on Booth Street, this phase represents the latest in OCH’s affordable housing efforts, ultimately adding 273 homes to the city.

The townhomes, featuring two-, three-, and four-bedroom options, will cater to singles, couples, and families and will be managed under OCH’s ARRIV Properties. Designed for sustainability, Mosaïq Ottawa’s second phase will incorporate geothermal systems and Passive House principles to enhance energy efficiency and affordability.

“Once complete, the Mosaïq Ottawa development will allow us to offer a range of affordable housing options to meet diverse household needs,” said Stéphane Giguère, CEO of OCH.

When completed, Mosaïq Ottawa will include a total of 413 affordable homes.
