Hipperson Home Hardware celebrates 100 years

Nelson, BC-based Hipperson Home Hardware is celebrating its 100th anniversary throughout the month of June. Founded by Bill and Becky Hipperson in 1923, the retailer joined the Home Hardware banner in 1981 and has been serving the city of Nelson ever since. Since its establishment, the store has been an integral part of the community. It has passed through five generations and is now operated by dealer-owner Courtney Dooley and her siblings, Brittany Winje and Linden Horswill.
