Home Depot Sales Up

The Home Depot had sales of $38.9 billion for the third quarter of 2022, an increase of 5.6 per cent over sales of $36.8 billion in the third quarter of 2021. Comparable sales for the quarter increased 4.3 per cent, and comparable sales in the U.S. increased 4.5 per cent year over year. Net earnings were $4.3 billion, up 5.1 per cent compared with net earnings of $4.1 billion in the year-ago period. Results were driven by strength in project-related categories. Approximately 50 per cent of online orders were fulfilled through stores in the quarter with sales leveraging digital platforms up nearly 10 per cent year over year.
