Home Depot Workers Reject Union
Workers at a U.S. Home Depot store overwhelmingly voted against becoming the first store in the chain to be represented by a union. The National Labor Relations Board, which oversees union elections, reported that only 51 employees from a store in Philadephia, PA, voted to join Home Depot Workers United with 165 voting against it. Although there has been a 58 per cent surge in organizing elections so far this year, unions have lost about 31 per cent of the votes concluded through September.
