Home Hardware Building Centres raise money to fight cancer
Essex Home Hardware Building Centre in Essex, ON, and Tecumseh Home Hardware Building Centre in Windsor, ON, have together raised almost $23,000 for the Windsor Cancer Foundation.
Kimberly Seguin, dealer-owner of both stores, decided to put a friendly competition in place between the two stores. Once the competition was complete, Essex HHBC was able to present a cheque to the Windsor Cancer Foundation for $11,309 and Tecumseh HHBC presented a cheque for $11,687. These are double the contributions made last year.
The Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation serves as the official fundraising arm for the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, which fulfills requests from the Windsor Regional Cancer Program. These requests include the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment, patient amenities, and initiatives, such as the Patient Assistance Fund and the Seeds4Hope program which supports local cancer research.
