Homeowners Doing More Home Improvements
The global do-it-yourself (DIY) home improvement market has been growing steadily in recent years and is expected to continue growing in the upcoming years, driven by increased popularity in home improvement projects to update homes and increase their property value, says a report from Exactitude Consultancy, the market research and consulting wing of Ameliorate Digital Consultancy Private Limited. The report predicts that the global DIY market will reach above US$42.24 billion over the forecast period of 2023 to 2029. Another driver of the DIY market is the pandemic, which has led to people spending more time at home and taking on these projects themselves. Now, with inflation, many homeowners are choosing DIY projects because they can often be more cost-effective than hiring a professional. The proliferation of online tutorials and DIY resources have made it easier for homeowners to try new projects and home improvement tasks. Online stores have also made products and materials easier to buy, offering a wide range of products, competitive pricing, and convenient delivery options. Additionally, increasing demand for and availability of sustainable and eco-friendly products has encouraged homeowners to install these products themselves.
