Income Dips For Resolute Forest Products

Resolute Forest Products Inc. had net income of $87 million for the third quarter of 2022, down from net income of $80 million in the third quarter of 2021. Sales for the quarter were $974 million, an increase of $157 million from the year-ago period. The wood products segment generated operating income of $42 million in the quarter, a decrease of $138 million from the previous quarter. The company generated operating income of $81 million in the market pulp segment, an increase of $40 million from the previous quarter.
