James Hardie Q2 2024 sales remain steady

James Hardie Industries had net sales of $998.8 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2024, in-line with net sales of $997.8 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2023. Net sales for the North America fibre cement segment were down two percent year over year and net sales for Europe building products were up five percent. Overall adjusted EBITDA was $285.5 million, up nine percent over adjusted EBITDA of $261.1 million in the year-ago period. Adjusted EBITDA margin was up 2.4 basis points year over year to 28.8 percent. The company had net income of $151.7 million, down nine percent from net income of $167.4 million last year.
