Kitchen Trends Evolving

Design and advanced technology are the most desired features in kitchen design and appliances, says research by Beko. Kitchens are becoming multipurpose living spaces which combine function, quality, technology, and aesthetics. Sixty-one per cent place value on products being durable, and more than 50 per cent say that quality, technology, and aesthetics are the leading reasons for envying the kitchens and appliances of others. "The kitchen is no longer a room exclusively for preparing meals. More and more, we are seeing the kitchen become a common space being used by all members of the family – be it as a home office, a family room, or a space for social gathering," says Ragip Balcioglu, chief commercial officer at Arcelik, parent company of Beko.
