Montréal receives $33 million for modern, eco-friendly community projects
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a federal investment of over $33 million for community infrastructure projects in Montréal. The funding will support three modern, accessible, and environmentally friendly projects, including a recreation and community center in Parc-Extension, a community house in Saint-Michel, and renovations for the Afrique au féminin organization.
These projects, built to carbon-neutral standards, aim to create vibrant spaces for community events and social gatherings. Funded through the Green and Inclusive Community Buildings program, this initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to improve community infrastructure across Canada, with over $1.1 billion already invested.
