Montreal Residential Sales Decline

Residential sales in the Montreal, QC, census metropolitan area (CMA) totalled 1,791 in January, down 36 per cent compared to the same period last year. Montreal had 644 residential sales, a decline of 39 per cent from the year-ago period. Plexes accounted for 157 sales during the reporting period, a loss of 52 per cent from the prior-year period. There were 733 condominium sales, a drop of 38 per cent, and 898 single-family home sales, a decline of 31 per cent.
