Nature-infused roofs latest exterior home trend
The back-to-nature trend is all the rage in home decor and, this year, it’s poised to go through the roof, says BP Canada. The company says roofs in 2024 will sport earthy looks. From multi-toned, rich shades of pale or dark grey, beige, and greige, to nuanced black and wood, the next generation in roofing is a modern twist on the solid black, grey, and brown colours that have topped homes for decades.
“In our increasingly complex world, consumers are opting for calming, organic decor and these choices are extending to their homes’ exteriors as well,” says Nathalie Lambert, marketing director of BP Canada.
To cater to shifting market preferences, BP Canada’s Chroma Colour Lab has launched a top-performing line of uber-natural shingles, called Signature, which feature multi-toned shades inspired by nature, fine food, and travel. An industry first, the shingles can be merged together — according to pre-set options — by alternating two colours over successive rows to create a third hue that produces a complementary or contrasting visual effect.
