No buyer yet for Grant mansion reality series
Producers of the reality show “Mansion Impossible” are still seeking a buyer for their series focused on the infamous Grant mansion in Haileybury, Ontario, as vandalism continues to plague the abandoned property. The 65,000-square-foot mansion, which has remained vacant for nearly 20 years, has become a local landmark and a target for trespassers, with broken windows and graffiti marking its once-grand facade.
Chris Fischer, who purchased the mansion in hopes of turning it into a reality show, noted extensive damage, including water-soaked floors and shattered windows, some reportedly bulletproof. Despite these challenges, producers assert the project’s compelling narrative—encompassing family struggles and dark history—could captivate audiences. However, the unique format, which diverges from traditional home-renovation shows, has made it challenging to attract networks or streaming platforms.
