Ottawa invests $349 million in New Brunswick and PEI for housing and infrastructure projects

The federal government announced renewed agreements for the Canada Community-Building Fund (CCBF) with New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Over the next five years, municipalities in these provinces will receive more than $349.3 million to address infrastructure needs and support housing projects.

 

Minister of Housing, Infrastructure, and Communities Sean Fraser emphasized the importance of these investments for affordable and inclusive communities. New Brunswick will receive $254.8 million, while Prince Edward Island will get $94.5 million.

 

The CCBF’s 10-year plan includes $26.7 billion in funding to aid infrastructure projects nationwide, promoting economic growth and community resilience.
