Owens Corning first quarter sales flat

Owens Corning had net sales of $2.3 billion for the first quarter of 2023, in-line with net sales in the first quarter of 2022. Net sales for the composite segment decreased 18% to $585 million in quarter compared to the year-ago period, primarily due to lower volumes, including the impact of previously announced divestitures. The insulation segment net sales increased 7% to $919 million as a result of positive price realization partially offset by lower volumes. Roofing net sales increased 7% to $895 million, primarily due to positive price realization partially offset by lower volumes.
