Pomerleau consortium wins $928 million Surrey Langley SkyTrain contract
South Fraser Station Partners, a consortium of Pomerleau, Aecon, and ACCIONA, has been awarded the $928 million contract for the Surrey Langley SkyTrain project’s stations.
The contract includes designing and constructing eight stations, three transit exchanges, nine power propulsion stations, and 250 meters of guideway in Langley City. This 16-kilometer extension is expected to enhance regional transportation, reducing travel time between Langley City and King George Station to 22 minutes and to downtown Vancouver to 65 minutes.
Philippe Adam, president and CEO of Pomerleau, emphasized the project’s role in advancing sustainable transportation and strengthening the local economy. The Surrey Langley SkyTrain extension aims to improve connectivity, increase access to housing, and support economic and environmental sustainability.
