PPG celebrates 140th anniversary with new facilities
Known as Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company when it was founded in 1883, PPG marked its 140th year in the industry with the opening of a customer and employee experience center in Pittsburgh, PA.
The company has begun renovations in its headquarters as well as in its other facilities in different parts of the globe. The experience center comes along with the recent renovation of the top two floors of One PPG Place, where the company is headquartered. Other renovations were the creation of new, open-concept workspaces, collaboration areas, meeting rooms, and employee kitchens. Over 20 PPG paint colors, including PPG's 2024 color of year, Limitless, can be viewed with the renovations.
“The modern design enables increased collaboration by providing an innovative, open environment for everyone who works at or visits our global headquarters,” said Tim Knavish, president and CEO of PPG. “One of PPG’s enterprise growth focus areas is to modernize our operations around the world, and this is another step forward in that journey.”
Other modernization projects across PPG include renovations of facilities in Amsterdam, France, Prague, and Mexico as well as an expansion of the Zhangjiagang plant in China and the opening of a battery pack application center in Tianjin.
