PPG has Q2 increase

PPG had net sales of $4.9 billion in the second quarter of 2023, a 4% increase compared to net sales of $4.7 billion in the second quarter of 2022. The performance coatings segment had net sales of $3.04 billion, up 4% compared to net sales of $2.93 billion in the prior-year period. The industrial coatings segment net sales were $1.83 billion, also up 4% compared to $1.76 billion. Net income for the quarter was $490 million, up 11% compared to net income of $443 million in the year-ago period. Adjusted net income was up 24% year over year.
