RenoRun Files For Creditor Protection

Construction materials eCommerce site and delivery service RenoRun has filed for creditor protection, says BetaKit. The filing comes after multiple rounds of layoffs within the last six months and a pursuit by the company of potential acquisition deals to stay afloat. RenoRun is based in Montreal, QC, and offers services in Montreal and Toronto, ON, as well as in Boston, MA, and Chicago, IL. In February 2022, the company was able to raise a round of funding for a company to get past the initial startup stage and to fuel rapid expansion across the U.S. and Canada. It was considering at least two options: either acquiring another startup or being acquired by a long-time industry partner.
