Resolute Acquisition Receives Competition Bureau Approval

The Canadian Commissioner of Competition has filed a consent agreement for the acquisition of Resolute Forest Products Inc. by Domtar Corporation, a subsidiary of the Paper Excellence Group. The consent agreement completes one of the remaining conditions to the closing of the transaction. It remains on course to close in the first half of 2023.
