Resolute Breaks Ground At Senneterre Planer Mill

Resolute Forest Products has broken ground at its Senneterre, QC, planer mill that will be adjacent to its sawmill at that location. The planer mill is expected to be functional by the end of the year. The mill will optimize the company’s fibre supply, enhance the overall efficiency of the sawmill, and reduce production costs for its Abitibi regional operations. Plans to modernize operations at the Senneterre sawmill were initially announced in July 2021 and include the installation of automated sorting bins.
