RONA appoints Sylvain Girard as new CFO

RONA, a leading Canadian home improvement retailer, has announced the appointment of Sylvain Girard as its new chief financial officer.

Girard, who brings over 30 years of financial services experience, has held significant roles at General Electric and most recently served as CFO at Resolute Forest Products. Girard has been described to have an extensive background in the construction and materials industries.

J.P. Towner, RONA’s president and CEO, expressed confidence in Girard’s ability to develop effective business strategies and drive profitable growth. “I am delighted to welcome him to our executive leadership team,” Towner said.

Girard emphasized the significance of joining RONA, a brand with an 85-year history, during a transformative time.

RONA operates approximately 425 corporate and affiliated dealer stores under various banners, including RONA+, Réno-Dépôt, and Dick’s Lumber.
