RONA inc. to consolidate some operations

As part of its strategy to simplify operations and eliminate inefficiencies, RONA inc. will consolidate some of its operations including those of the Greater Montreal, QC Area and of the Greater Calgary, AB, Area to its core buildings. As a result, the company will terminate regular operations at the Terrebonne, QC, distribution centre in March 2024 and the close the Calgary distribution centre located on 60th Street SE in October 2024.  

“As we look to the future, RONA must go back to its roots and adjust its operating model, becoming the more nimble, agile, and entrepreneurial organization that we were historically,” the company said in a statement. The changes will allow it to fund strategic investments in areas such as RONA+, digital, and its dealer network.  

“Additionally, we are transitioning to become a more agile, streamlined, and collaborative corporate structure which will allow us to better deliver for the Canadian customer. These adjustments to our structure have impacted approximately 300 associates nationally across the full scope of our operations and distribution network. 

“Decisions like this are never taken lightly but we are confident that these changes will make RONA inc. stronger for the years to come,” it said.
