Saint-Gobain completes acquisition of The Bailey Group of Companies
Saint-Gobain has finalized its C$880 million acquisition of The Bailey Group of Companies, a large Canadian manufacturer of metal building solutions. Announced on April 3, the acquisition adds 690 employees across 12 sites, enhancing Saint-Gobain’s sustainable construction portfolio and adding C$500 million in revenues.
This marks Saint-Gobain’s third major Canadian acquisition in three years, following Kaycan in 2022 and Building Products of Canada in 2023. The Bailey Group will continue to operate under its current brand within Saint-Gobain’s North American construction business.
Recent investments include a recovery system at its Vancouver gypsum facility and upgrades to its Montreal plant to increase capacity and transition to renewable electricity.
Saint-Gobain aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050, with over 145 manufacturing locations in North America.
