Sales Slide At Weyerhaeuser

Weyerhaeuser Company had net earnings of $310 million for the third quarter of 2022, down from net earnings of $482 million in the third quarter of 2021. Net sales for the quarter were $2.3 billion, in line with sales in the 2021 third quarter. Adjusted earnings before taxes were $583 million compared with $746 million for the prior-year period. Net sales for the timberlands segment were down 97 per cent year over year.
