Simpson Manufacturing Q2 sales steady

Simpson Manufacturing Co., Inc. had net sales of $597.6 million for the second quarter of 2023, an increase of 0.7% compared to the second quarter of 2022. North America net sales were $465.5 million up 2% from net sales of $456.4 million in the year-ago period, mostly due to higher volumes. Overall consolidated gross profit was $287.5 million, up 10.8% from $259.3 million while gross margin increased to 48.1% from 43.7%. Income from operations for the quarter increased 9% year over year to $145 million and net income was $107.2 million compared to $93.6 million last year.
