Simpson Strong-Tie acquires Calculated Structured Designs Inc.

Simpson Strong-Tie, a provider of engineered structural connectors and building solutions, has acquired Calculated Structured Designs (CSD), a Canadian software development firm. CSD specializes in solutions for the engineered wood, engineering, design, and building sectors in North America, Australia, and the UK.

 

“This acquisition helps Simpson Strong-Tie better serve our customers using EWP products, as well as steel and dimensional lumber,” said Noah Daniels, senior vice president at Simpson Strong-Tie. He highlighted CSD’s iStruct software, which integrates 3D layout, design, and material reporting.

 

Sean Nason, CSD’s CEO, expressed confidence in the merger, praising Simpson Strong-Tie’s alignment with CSD’s mission.

 

Simpson Strong-Tie aims to enhance its software offerings and better serve its customers through this strategic acquisition.
