Skills Canada National Competition 2025 to be hosted in Regina, Saskatchewan
The Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) 2025 will be held in Regina on May 29-30 at the Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) District.
Organized by Skills/Compétences Canada (SCC), this event promotes careers in skilled trades and technology to Canadian youth. Over 500 competitors from across Canada will participate in more than 40 skilled trade and technology areas. Visitors can also engage in over 50 interactive activities.
The competition aims to encourage youth to excel in these fields and raise awareness of career opportunities. This event serves as a qualifier for the WorldSkills Competition 2026 in Shanghai, China. Employment and Social Development Canada reports that 700,000 of the four million Canadian tradespeople will retire by the decade’s end, underscoring the need to develop new talent.
