Stanley Black & Decker identifies popular gift items for holidays
Battery powered equipment such as mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers; storage organizers and organization tools; and gifts that can be shared with others are the most popular gifting items for this holiday season, says a survey from Stanley Black & Decker.
Eighty-three percent of pros say they would be happy to receive a tool-related gift for the holidays. Top wish list items include:
Power tools (50 percent) – routers, planers, jointers, ratchets, or nailers
Hand tools (43 percent) – clamps and vises, chisels, punches, files, screwdrivers, or hex keys
Power tool accessories (41 percent)
Batteries (33 percent)
Power tool combo kits (32 percent)
Metal tool chests or cabinets (26 percent)
Eighty-five percent of those who identify as a garden or yard work enthusiast say they would be happy to receive a garden or yard work-related gift for the holidays. Top wish list items include:
Trimmers and edgers (43 percent)
Gardening hand tools (40 percent)
Gardening organization (38 percent)
Gardening accessories (37 percent)
Mowers (28 percent)
Heavy-duty cultivators or tillers (19 percent)
Snow blowers (12 percent)
Sixty-nine percent of DIYers say they would be happy to receive a tool-related gift for the holidays. Top wish list items include:
Power tools (39 percent) – drills, oscillating multi-tools, routers, planers, or jointers
Hand tools (31 percent) – clamps and vises, screwdrivers, hex keys, or utility knives
Power tool accessories (23 percent)
Batteries (21 percent)
