Stanley Black & Decker Q4 sales slide

Stanley Black & Decker had net sales of $3.74 billion for the fourth quarter of 2023, down six percent versus net sales of $3.99 billion in the fourth quarter of 2022. Gross margin for the quarter was 29.6 percent compared to 18.9 percent in the year-ago quarter. The company had a net loss of $304.4 million compared to a net loss of $45 million in the year-ago period. The tools and outdoor segment net sales decreased seven percent year over year, with North American revenue decreasing by 10 percent. Industrial net sales were down four percent versus fourth quarter 2022.
