Steady Demand Forecast For Toolboxes

The demand for toolboxes and cases is projected to increase 2.1 per cent per year to $454 million in 2026, says a study from the Freedonia Group. The professional segment will maintain its leadership status due to increased commercial building, industrial activity, and the ongoing interest in do-it-yourself (DIY) and do-it-for-me (DIFM) activities. Traditional and modular toolboxes have driven recent sales growth in the category and they will continue to do so during the forecast period. Modular toolboxes will support gains for professional grade products and are more efficient for storing and transporting tools. They are made up of interlocking components which create customized units.
